Carrying on the belly: baby facing you

Before use: adjust your baby’s seat width

The width of the back panel and your baby’s seat can be adjusted to your child’s leg length to create an optimal M-position. In this position, your baby’s seat (the carrier’s back panel) runs from one knee pit to the other. This leg position is essential in every carrying position.

Important: The ages indicated below are only guidelines. Every child develops at their own pace. Therefore, adjust the width of the back panel at the bottom of the hip belt based on your baby’s leg length.

From birth

Set the bottom of the back panel on the hip belt to the narrowest setting. Use the outer snap buttons on the back panel and the inner snap buttons on the hip belt.

Around 4 months

When you notice that the width of the back panel is becoming too narrow (your baby is no longer in the “M-position”), move the snap buttons to a slightly wider setting.

Around 1 year

Use the widest setting when your child is older and/or has longer legs.

Step 13
Make sure there are no folds in the back panel by tightening the side straps simultaneously. Check that the baby is sitting comfortably and not being pressed too tightly. Ensure the baby's back is slightly curved, with the buttocks deep in the back panel just above the hip belt. The baby's legs should be in an M-position and the head should be free to move.

Step 14
Roll up the ends of the straps and secure them here with the elastic loops.
